Annie Duke is the Special Partner focused on Decision Science at First Round Capital Partners, a seed stage venture fund. Annie combines her academic studies in cognitive psychology with real-life decision-making experiences at the poker table to help First Round Capital Partners refine the way in which they make investment decisions — from creating rubrics and implementing systems to reduce bias, to improving data collection for conducting retrospective reviews post-decision. Annie was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship to study Cognitive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.
