Corey Hoffstein is the co-founder of and Chief Investment Officer at Newfound Research. Founded in August 2008, Newfound Research is a quantitative asset management firm based out of Boston, MA. Corey holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Cornell University, and an M.S. degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. His education and work experience led him to systematize his investment ideas and has led to a strong focus on quantitative systematic implementation. Hoffstein says of his portfolio management style: “While other asset managers focus on alpha, our first focus is on managing risk.”
