Mike Pyle

Mike is Deputy Head of BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group and a member of the firm's Global Executive Committee, overseeing its hedge funds platform, fundamental equities franchise, and the BlackRock Investment Institute. He rejoined in 2024 after serving as U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics from 2022 to 2024 and, before that, Chief Economic Advisor to Vice President Harris. He was previously at BlackRock from 2014 to 2021, ending as Global Chief Investment Strategist, and held Obama White House and Treasury roles from 2009 to 2013. He studied economics at Dartmouth and holds a JD from Yale and an LLM from Cambridge.
