After pursuing a corporate banking degree in cooperation with Commerzbank and a master’s degree in advanced finance in Madrid, Oliver completed his doctorate in financial mathematics at the University of Manchester. His doctoral research focused on the investigation of ensemble methods to, first, advance the accuracy of derivatives pricing models based on Lévy Processes and, secondly, to improve the performance of statistical learning techniques for financial time series predictions to build algorithmic trading models. In 2020 Oliver Steinki founded Evolutiq, a Cologne-based entrepreneurial investment manager He is also an investor in several startups.
