Philip Seager is Head of Absolute Return at Capital Fund Management (CFM). CFM started as a hedge fund manager focusing on systematic trading strategies. Philip originally joined CFM to work on the Discus CTA program and build its intraday component. He was subsequently named Head of Directional Strategies, followed by seven years as Head of Quantitative Investment Solutions before arriving at his current position. Philip obtained a two-year European Fellowship to work at the CEA, France, working on a search for the charged Higgs boson at CERN, Switzerland. Philip has a PhD in experimental particle physics from Lancaster University. His undergraduate degree was earned at Durham University.
