Richard Urwin is Chairman of the Investment Committee at Saranac Partners. He is responsible for developing and implementing the investment frameworks used by Saranac to manage client assets. Prior to joining Saranac, he was Head of the Outsourced CIO function at BlackRock in Europe, Head of Economics and Asset Allocation at Gartmore Fund Managers, and an Economist at Warburgs, the Investment Bank. Richard has a BA and an MA in economics, an MBA, and an MA and MRes in philosophy.
