New York Times
Rob Copeland is a New York Times Financial Reporter. He has been a business reporter for virtually his entire career since graduating from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and history. For nearly a decade, until late 2022, he was an investigative reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Prior to that, Rob wrote for the hedge-fund trade publication Absolute Return. He is the Times’s primary reporter on banks, and is especially plugged into that sector. His interests run the gamut from corporate dealmakers to ordinary depositors to the regulators and policymakers tasked with overseeing it all.
